The standard choice for large-diameter transmission lines
LSAW (longitudinally submerged arc welded) pipe is used for oil and gas trunk lines, water transmission mains and slurry lines. Pipe is produced to API SPEC 5L and ISO 3183 PSL2: PSL2 goes beyond tensile requirements, with restricted carbon equivalent, maximum sulphur and phosphorus, mandatory Charpy V-notch impact testing, hydrostatic testing and non-destructive examination on each pipe before dispatch.
