Factory-direct seamless & line pipe from Tianjin, China
Large diameter structural steel pipe stacked at the yard
SPECIAL GRADE 01 — STRUCTURAL STEEL PIPE

Structural steel pipe — ASTM A252 Gr.3 and EN 10219 S355J2H

Load-bearing pipe for piling, port and marine works, bridge and stadium steelwork, and offshore or wind foundations — supplied to the two standards structural engineers name most often, with tighter dimensional tolerance than line pipe.

WHY STRUCTURAL PIPE

High strength, high toughness, and a tolerance you can assemble on site

Structural pipe carries load, absorbs impact and has to stay dimensionally true. High strength, high toughness and good welding quality are the base requirements — and because the pipe is assembled on site, the dimensional tolerance is tighter than for line pipe, so that fit-up and weld quality hold in the field. In weather-exposed or marine service it also has to resist atmospheric and marine climate corrosion.

Structural pipe — questions buyers ask

What is the difference between ASTM A252 Gr.3 and EN 10219 S355J2H?
ASTM A252 Gr.3 is the US standard for welded and seamless steel pipe piles, with a minimum yield strength of 310 MPa. EN 10219 S355J2H is the European standard for cold-formed welded structural hollow sections: minimum yield 355 MPa, with Charpy impact testing at -20 C. The project specification decides which one applies.
Which sizes can you supply?
Structural pipe from Ø406 mm to Ø1422 mm (16 in to 56 in), wall thickness from 6.35 mm up to about 52 mm depending on grade. Exact availability is confirmed against the project drawing and the mill rolling programme.
Which documents come with the order?
EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate with heat-number traceability, packing list, and third-party inspection (SGS / BV / TUV) on request. Coating certificates are added for 3PE, FBE or galvanized finishes.
Can the pipe be coated or galvanized?
Yes. 3PE / 3LPE, FBE and hot-dip galvanizing are available, with pipe ends bevelled, plain or capped to suit the installation method.

Send your line list — a firm quotation follows.

Send the standard, outside diameter, wall thickness, grade, quantity and destination port. If you only have a tender document or a piping class, send that instead — we will read it and come back with the pipe specification.
